Why do the resources for recycling used tires stop?
2019-03-11

According to the statistics of the Ministry of Public Security, in 2018, there were 31.72 million newly registered motor vehicles nationwide, and the number of motor vehicles has reached 327 million, including 240 million vehicles, and the number of small passenger vehicles exceeded 200 million for the first time. The number of motorists exceeded 400 million. People, 409 million people, including 369 million car drivers.

By the end of 2018, the number of car ownership in the country reached 240 million, an increase of 22.85 million compared with 2017, an increase of 10.51%. In terms of vehicle types, the number of small passenger vehicles reached 201 million, surpassing 200 million for the first time, an increase of 20.85 million compared with 2017, an increase of 11.56%, which is a major component of car ownership growth; private cars (private small Passenger cars have continued to grow rapidly. In 2018, the number of vehicles reached 189 million. In the past five years, the average annual growth rate was 19.52 million. The number of trucks reached 25.7 million, and the number of new registrations was 3.26 million, a record high.

As China's car ownership continues to increase, the amount of used tires will inevitably grow rapidly. Some unique phenomena in the use of tires in China have also increased the production of used tires. In addition, China is the world's largest producer and consumer of tires, and a major country in the production of used tires. At present, China's rubber consumption accounts for about 30% of the world's total rubber consumption, ranking first in the world for many years. More than 80% of natural rubber and more than 30% of synthetic rubber are imported.

China's tires are generally more important than similar foreign products. The difference in manufacturing processes between domestic and foreign tires has resulted in a difference in the weight of used tires. The same weight difference between scrap tires is more than 8%. Under the influence of objective factors such as increasing car ownership, car scrapping and vehicle replacement, the annual scrap rate will remain between 6% and 8%.

First, the main problems

1. The production and operation methods are extensive. Most of the enterprises have insufficient operating funds, small scale of production, low technical level, lagging management methods and management methods, and it is difficult to achieve leapfrog development. Some small retreading enterprises, small recycled rubber enterprises, small rubber powder enterprises rely on backward production technology and technology to adopt low cost, low price, low added value and high.

2. Business operations are difficult. In the past two years, due to the influence of the international and domestic economic situation, some production enterprises have encountered unprecedented operational difficulties, and their operating conditions are not optimistic.

3. There is a shortage of retreaded tire resources. Tire retreading is an internationally recognized first choice for tire reduction, reuse, and resource recycling. However, some large-scale and regular tire refurbished enterprises in China have long been in a state of idle production capacity due to a serious shortage of retreadable tire resources.

Second, the path of waste tires turning waste into treasure

1. Direct use: The direct utilization rate of used tires is very low, less than 1% of the amount of used tires.

2, direct combustion: the configuration of the flue gas treatment is very high, currently has not become the mainstream disposal method in China, and in the process of running a little careless and will cause secondary pollution, such as the possibility of producing highly toxic cancer Dioxin.

3, processing and reuse: processing and recycling technology mainly includes old tires, tires, recycled rubber and rubber powder.

Old tire retreading At present, China's tire retreading rate is only 26:1, especially the retreading rate of car tires is almost zero. At the same time, the renovation of used tires requires high quality of raw materials, which is the biggest problem faced by many tire refurbished manufacturers.
